  • SCHOOL OPEN FRIDAY 21.12.18 8:30-12:30

    Thu 20 Dec 2018

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

We apologise for any inconveniences caused yesterday and today due to our electrical problems. The problem is now fixed and we will have heating again. Therefore, school will be open tomorrow as usual for Breakfast Club from 7.30am (if you have already booked it), normal school from 8.30am until 12.30pm only (usual end of term half day).

At the end of the day the church car park will be closed for a large funeral, please park elsewhere.

As the children missed mufti day today they may wear mufti tomorrow, but please ensure that they have appropriate wear for going outside at playtime. Instead of the Christmas lunch that we missed today we will have a New Year’s lunch on Thursday 10th January, all bookings will be transferred over to this day.

A merry Christmas to you all.

    Mrs Burn

  • EMERGENCY CLOSURE 19.12.18

    Wed 19 Dec 2018

At 11:20am today, we were forced to close the school due to power issues in the local area.

We lost one phase of our power supply, followed by a second - then we were advised to shut all power down due to the evolving nature of the fault. This left our emergency lighting and fire systems on short-term battery back-up. So, for safety reasons, we were forced to take the decision to close. Thank you to all parents for responding to our messages and collecting children.

SSE are working to restore power to the site (and surrounding area).

We have been advised that we should have power restored during the evening and are planning to be open as usual tomorrow (Thursday - for Party Day [mufti day]).

WE WILL CONFIRM EITHER WAY BY GROUPCALL MESSAGE AS SOON AS WE KNOW.

    PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES.

    UPDATE: Weds - 17:40

We are in communication with engineers and we may need engineering and ground works to fix the issue. We aim to make a decision by 20:00 this evening regarding tomorrow, to give parents chance to make emergency arrangements for childcare, if necessary.

Thank you for your support and patience.

  • SCHOOL CLOSED THURS 20.12.18

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
