  • We Love Manchester Prayer

    Fri 26 May 2017

One of our families wrote this prayer, which we used in our Y2/3 Phase worship today:

    Heavenly Father,

Today we gather as a sign of respect for the people who died at the Manchester bombing.

We light a candle for each of the 22 who were killed so their light will still shine on.

We ask you please to bring comfort and peace to the families and injured.

    Amen

[Thanks to Cloe B and her family]

  • We Love Manchester Mufti Day

    Wed 24 May 2017

On Monday evening (22/5/17), 22 people were tragically killed and dozens more injured after a bomb exploded at the Manchester Arena. Many of them were children.

Manchester City Council has launched the We Love Manchester emergency fund, an appeal in partnership with the British Red Cross, to support those affected by the attack and their families.

To show our support for the city of Manchester, the families affected by the tragedy and to show that we stand united against acts of terror, we will be holding a Mufti Day on Friday 26th May 2017.

To show our support, we would like the children to wear an item of red clothing as a symbol of love.

We would like you to consider a donation of approximately £1, if you can, and would encourage you to donate this directly to the British Red Cross at this webpage.

    Thank you for your support.

  • Well done Year 6

    Thu 11 May 2017

National SATs tests have now finished.

Well done to all the children for giving their best efforts to this week. Whatever the outcomes, they have all tried their best and can be very proud of themselves.

Thank you to all the staff involved in supporting this week and for preparing the children so well.

In the lead-up we have tried hard to maintain a balance in the curriculum, so that children have still enjoyed the likes of PE. Not all schools maintain such a balance! I know that now things have finished, there is still some writing to continue but there are a number of exciting things to look forward to (not least the show!).

    Well done Year 6.

  • Year 6 SATs week

    Mon 08 May 2017

They have worked really hard all year to prepare for this week and we wish them the very best of luck.

  • New parking enforcement - Update

    Thu 04 May 2017

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation with the Talbot Village Trust's management wardens this week.

They will continue to promote the flow of traffic - particularly at pick-up time and monitor the car park throughout the day. A number of parking charge notices have been issued to vehicles not displaying a valid permit (25 so far this week).

We continue to be grateful to the Trust for allowing the use of the car park and for their support in trying to address the parking issues we face.
