IT’S COMING HOME… possibly!
Fri 09 Jul 2021We are thrilled to be supporting the England team as they prepare for the final of Euro 2020 against Italy on Sunday evening. Due to enforced school closures this year, and the efforts we have made to help children ‘catch-up’ in their learning, we don’t feel we can authorise late attendance on Monday. However, we would like to celebrate in school should the Lions emerge triumphant – If England win, children are welcome to come to school in red and white mufti on Monday (12 July).

Reception 2021 new starters welcome and virtual induction tour - Now live!
Wed 16 Jun 2021Due to extended COVID restrictions, we are unfortunately not able to host our usual on-site induction activities this year. Taking feedback from some of our current Reception parents, as well as from a few parents with children starting this September, we have created a special video to help your children see their key learning spaces and give them a good idea of routines. Thank you to those children involved in the video!

Appointment of Headteacher
Fri 12 Feb 2021Following a rigorous recruitment process, supported by an independent advisor and advisor from the Diocese of Salisbury, I am delighted to inform you that the Governing Body has appointed Mr Andrew Bright to be Headteacher of St Mark’s Church of England Primary School from 1 September 2021.
Mr Bright has been the Deputy Headteacher at St Mark’s for the past ten years and Acting Headteacher on a Monday for the past 12 months.
The Leadership Team and Governors will continue to work closely together to ensure a smooth and efficient transition when Mrs Burn retires at the end of the academic year.
I am confident that the school will go from strength to strength under Mr Bright’s leadership and I know you will want to join me in wishing him all the best in his new role.
Yours sincerely
Mrs M. Homer
Chair of Governors
