Everyone ready?
Presents wrapped? Tree up? Decorations hung? Light adorning the trees in the garden and slung from the fascias of the house?
Been to the panto yet? ("Oh no we haven't!").
Even if some of the above is planned for this weekend, likelihood is that a little door marked with a number 1 on a calendar has been opened somewhere in your house today.
