  • Photos - Sponsored Skip for BHF

    Wed 23 Mar 2016

It has been great to see so many children, in sporty mufti, raising money for the British Heart Foundation today. Beautiful sunny weather has been the backdrop to much skipping and enjoyment. The 'sporty mufti' theme saw many football kits and much sports wear - however, if there were a prize today, it would have gone to Jo in Y5 for wearing his swimming costume as his chosen sporty mufti!

BHF was chosen as a charity to support by the School Council.

A huge well done to everyone who has taken part and great big thank you to everyone who has given money in sponsorship.

  • Septenary Games Photos

    Fri 18 Mar 2016

Children from the 7 BST schools recently took part in a Septenary Games for gifted and able athletes. A great time was had by all and our athletes represented the school and themselves admirably.

  • Gaming & Apps - What parents need to know

    Fri 18 Mar 2016

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Call of Duty Black Ops 3. Snapchat. Grand Theft Auto V. Assassin's Creed. XCOM2. Super Mario Maker. Instagram... Some of the hottest and most played games and apps around at the moment. But which ones should your child be allowed to play? How as a parent can you find out what you should let your child use?

Help is at hand. There is a superb American website called Common Sense Media which reviews a huge selection of games, apps, books, films, websites and more. It tells you age limits and most importantly, what the content or potential use and risks looks like from a parental point of view. If you think Grand Theft Auto V is just a game about cars, or that Instagram poses no risks to children, check out the reviews at www.commonsensemedia.org.

  • Mini BSO concert **World Premier**

    Fri 11 Mar 2016

We were treated today to the world premier performance of 'dreams', a composition created with members of our school orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The children have worked hard over the last few weeks to create their piece, which saw its debut performance today.

We were also treated to some pieces of classical music by the mini BSO musicians (as well as a Pink Panther encore).

Well done to everyone who took part. It was a fabulously creative experience!
