Starting school September 2021

Thank you for applying for a place at St Mark's CE Primary School.


We are delighted to be welcoming you and your child into our school community.


Primary Allocation Day – 16 April 2021

The allocation of Primary school places for September 2021 (Reception, Junior and Middle) is published on Friday, 16 April 2021.

Applicants who applied online will be able to see which school has been offered to their child from 10:00am.


You will have one of the following phrases alongside each of the schools you requested:
Place offered – a place has been offered to your child at this school
No offer – this school has been unable to offer your child a place
Discard – this school was not required because a higher preference has been offered


If a place was not offered at any of your requested schools, you will have been allocated you a place at an alternative school, labelled Unplaced.


Your official offer letter will be emailed during the morning of 16 April. This will contain further information on the allocation. If you did not get a place at your first preference, this will include details on why your application was refused, information on the waiting list and how to appeal.


Please confirm acceptance of your place by 30 April 2021.


You can do this in one of the following ways:

  • online through the Enrol website (if you applied online);
  • by completing the reply slip on your offer letter and returning it to the Local Authority (the address is on the reply slip).


If you are declining the place, please either email the Local Authority or complete the reply slip, confirming what alternative arrangements you are making.


Starting school induction activities

Our usual range of induction activities were not possible last year due to Covid closures.  We are awaiting further guidance from the Government to inform our transition offer for September 2021 and will publish details as soon as possible.
