School Uniform

Requirements

General Wear

  • School grey sweatshirt with a logo
  • Yellow polo shirts only, preferably with the school logo on
  • Knee length skirts/pinafores and trousers/shorts to be grey only (trousers to be full-length and no three-quarter length shorts)
  • Yellow/white check summer dress with white socks or tights.
  • Girls: White/grey socks or grey tights (no black or skin coloured) (white in summer):
    Boys: grey socks
  • Black school shoes with a limit on heel of no higher than 2 inches. Open toed or open backed summer sandals are not appropriate in a busy playground, nor are jelly shoes.  No boots are allowed.

Outdoor PE Kit (from Summer term only for new Reception children)

  • Emerald green long sleeved top with black St. Mark’s logo
  • Black shorts
  • Long black socks with emerald green striped tops (years 3 – 6 only)
  • Black ankle socks (years R – 2 only)
  • Black school track suit with St. Mark’s logo or a plain black track suit
  • Trainers

Indoor Kit PE Kit for Year R to Year 6

  • White t-shirt with St. Mark’s logo or plain white t-shirt with round neck
  • Black shorts
  • Bare feet (if the child has a verruca they must wear protective verruca gel)

Swim Kit for Year R to Year 6

  • Black swim suit or trunks
  • Towel
  • Swim hat (may be purchased from the school office)

If the child has a verruca they must wear protective verruca gel in order to take part in the lesson.

All the above logo items and the sports socks are available from Rickards in Moordown.

Long Hair
All hair at or below shoulder length (both boys and girls) must be tied back at all times in school, but especially during PE and games lessons.  School hair ties should be in appropriate colours and styles suitable to blend with school uniform (yellow/white bands).  Hair should be off the face, clipped back and not obscuring sight.

Body Piercing
Please can body piercing be kept to one earring per ear for stud earrings.  Please can any new piercing occur at the beginning of the summer holiday to give it time to heal as all items of jewellery must be removed for all PE and games lessons, including swimming.
